Introduction (2-3 lines)
David Pavlosky is an independent multimedia producer, director, editor, and educator based in New York City and recently produced and directed (with Tami Gold) PUZZLES, a documentary about a brutal attack in a gay bar and how a community responds. PUZZLES has just been included in the New Day Films collection. Completed works for David include: Passionate Politics: The Life and Work of Charlotte Bunch (co-producer with Tami Gold), 2010's Don’t Bring Scott (Director/Producer).
David is currently in production on Stand Up, Stand Out, an evolving multiplatform documentary project which features three decades of LGBTQ stand-up comedians whose individual stories told through interview and performance, contextualize the history of a community that joined together against overwhelming obstacles to confront homophobia through humor.
David received his BA in Media from Hunter College and is presently an MFA candidate in the Integrated Media Arts Program at Hunter College. He studied with Martin Scorsese and Abbas Kiarostami in the Tribeca Filmmaker Exchange Program in Marrakech. For more about David go to: dpmedianyc.com
