Playing the Numbers, her first documentary short is about America's infatuation with the lottery and was screened at the British Short Film Festival and the Internacional de Cinema Festival in Portugal. She has worked as a film archivist and book researcher (An American Love Story), casting assistant, assistant producer and sound recordist on documentaries, fiction shorts and public televison productions. Monnier is also the recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship and president of OVRMAC (Ohio Valley Regional Media Arts Coalition). She lives in Ohio.
