National Media Market: DVD Winner

A still from the New Day film The Self-Made Man. An old color photo with off-white edges like a polaroid. Bob Stern, a shirtless man in well worn jeans and sunglasses leans against the side of a tan car from the 70s. The car is on a dusty, dirt road and there are mountains in the background filling the rest of the frame.

Elise Vidal from Thomas Branigan Memorial Library in Las Cruces, New Mexico won the drawing of a free title from New Day at the National Media Market in Charleston in November.

She selected Susan Stern's film, The Self-Made Man. The poignant documentary explores the "right-to-die" issue through the story of the filmmaker's father. Congrats to Elise, and congrats to Susan!
