Kiran Deol is a filmmaker and actor who got on a plane the day after graduating from Harvard University to begin documenting the story of WOMAN REBEL, which took three years to complete.  The film was subsequently an Emmy nominated, IDA award winning documentary that was one of eight shortlisted for the 2010 Oscar.  It was picked up by HBO and the Japanese broadcaster NHK.  Kiran has worked for networks like SABC in South Africa; and Discovery Channel in the United States.  WOMAN REBEL is her first independent documentary film.  She is now in development on her next projects.
