Old People Driving chronicles the adventures of Milton (age 96) and Herbert (age 99) as they confront the end of their driving years. Viewers join Herbert as he takes his last drive, hands over his keys and comes to terms with the reality of life without a car. Milton, meanwhile, continues to drive every day and vows to do so until he feels he’s no longer safe on the road. Through their stories, and a review of the latest traffic safety research, Old People Driving dispels some of the myths about elderly drivers without shying away from the fact that many people will outlive their ability to drive safely.
The subject matter in Old People Driving is often serious ... but director Shaleece Haas balances the facts and figures with humor ... and a wealth of wonderfully heartfelt scenes involving [the film’s main characters].

Old People Driving is a must-see for seniors and for people like me who work with seniors. The film is much more than a safe driving documentary; it’s a compelling and thought provoking story of coping with loss and finding our way in later life.
