A loving family tries to help their son fight drug addiction and mental illness.
Watch TrailerDescription: He is youthful, attractive and likeable, and lives in a world sometimes fogged by delusion and mania. This is the inside look at 33-year-old Tommy Lennon, struggling to deal with the dual diagnosis of mental illness and drug addiction. The intimate film focuses on Tommy and his family's frustration, helplessness, courage and resilience. A head injury while surfing may have been the catalyst that turned Tommy's life upside down. For 10 years, he is stuck in a revolving door of homelessness, drug abuse, mental institutions and jails. Will Tommy and his loving family learn to deal with a constantly shifting reality? This is a new film from the award winning team of Marilyn and Chuck Braverman. After a short theatrical release (to qualify for a possible second Academy nomination) this film has now been released to the university/school and institutional markets.
Even if a short film about Tommy Lennon's life is nominated for an Academy Award on Tuesday, its 35-year-old subject won't be attending the awards show next month.

Mentally ill and addicted to drugs, Lennon is in a Santa Barbara jail waiting to learn if his next stop is a courtroom or a prison psychiatric ward.
