Tim Schwab and his partner Christina Craton are independent media moguls based in rural South Dakota, where they share a home and studio. Working as a two person crew, Craton and Schwab have been making films together for over 15 years and the two perform all creative and production work. Their productions include environmental works such as The Artists and the Wolves, which was broadcast nationally on PBS, and Ghosts Along the Freeway, which was screened at the Sydney Film Festival, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Walker Art Center; and works on Native American culture such as Ghost Dance, which won first prize at the American Indian Film and Video Competition, Best Documentary at the Poetry Film Festival, a Red Ribbon at the American Film and Video Festival, and a CINE Golden Eagle. They are active in free-speech and civil rights causes and are members of the New Day Films Cooperative.
