Peter Cohn

Peter Cohn is a NYC based film maker, currently producing a film about settlements in Israel (www.israeldocumentary.com).  Cohn's newest New Day release is "Drunks," the groundbreaking feature film about Alcoholics Anonymous, a special re-release of a film that first came out to widespread critical acclaim in 1996.   Peter Cohn's previous New Day release was "Power and Control: Domestic Violence in America," along with the more specialized companion films, "Domestic Violence and Law Enforcment" and "Domestic Violence and Heatlh Care."     Cohn spent almost 10 years making his inaugural New Day release, "Golden Venture," about the Chinese immigrants who came to America aboard the Golden Venture, a freighter that ran aground off New York in 1993. "Golden Venture" has been added to the collections of more than 600 universities, colleges and high schools.
