Theme: Murder

Martha Swetzoff has an eclectic background in media design and production including good old film to CD-ROM and Web projects. Theme: Murder is her first hour-long film.

She has made several short films and videotapes as an independent director/producer which have been shown in the U.S. and abroad. She has been the recipient of several grants and awards including grants from the National Endowment for the Arts (Media Arts), the LEF Foundation, The Kapor Family Foundation, The Mass. Cultural Council and the New England Regional Fellowship program.

In addition to her own projects she has worked on such diverse works as Dream On; Leona's Sister Gerri; Living at Risk, the story of a Nicaraguan family; E.O. Wilson: Reflections on a Life in Science; the Addison Gallery of American Art's videodisc Harold Tovish; Radio Interference, an interactive performance piece by Antenna Theater, Burning Down the House for Talking Heads; and Robert Wilson's theater piece, the CIVIL WARS. She was creative director for the CD-ROM magazine LAUNCH and a web-only art event by Yoko Ono.

She graduated cum laude from Harvard and has a MS from the MIT Media Laboratory.
