DADDY AND PAPA Featured on Cover of Sociology Textbook, Gay Fatherhood
Daddy and Papa , Johnny Symons’ award-winning and Emmy-nominated film exploring the personal, cultural, and political impact of gay men raising children, is featured throughout Ellen Lewin’s new anthropological textbook, Gay Fatherhood: Narratives of Family and Citizenship in America. Lewin, who received several grants for her research including one from the National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship for University Teachers, says, “Daddy and Papa inspired my efforts to give voice to gay dads through ethnography.”
