I watched “The Reckoning” last night on POV. It made me realize that even in our time, as humankind repeats so many horrible errors of the past, there is still a vibrant, on-going effort by us to identify crimes against humanity wherever they may take place and stop them. The evidence is the emerging International Criminal Court so beautifully portrayed in this film. Thanks to independent filmmakers Pamela Yates, Paco de Onis and Peter Kinoy for making a film that captures the unfolding challenges of creating an international body to prosecute perpetrators of genocide and murder.
